Gabe Espinoza and his sister Celia, from Bend, Oregon caught plenty of Chinook last week by trolling the Rogue Bay with spinnerbait/anchovy rigs while fishing with guide Bill Divens of Salmon King Lodge Guide Service

Rita is all smiles after landing this big king salmon off the coast of Eureka. The salmon bite had been wide-open this week, though it slowed down on Wednesday due to rough seas. Sport salmon season will remain open through Aug. 16th on the North Coast.

Tim Kindley of Eureka boated this 30-pound king last weekend fishing right at the entrance of Humboldt Bay. The salmon bite was wide-open earlier in the week, with limits of kings being caught inside the bay as well as off the jetties.

We had a good time today on the Lovely Martha.
