The first chrome-bright Chetco River Chinook up to and over 30 pounds finally entered the Chetco estuary last week. Traci Suiter from Brookings, Oregon and another party caught these two strapping kings in the mid-twenties.

Darren Cartledge and his young son Declan teamed up to land a nice king salmon while fishing off the coast of Eureka >on Sunday. The young angler did most of the heavy lifting, with a little help from dad and Capt. Marc Schmidt of Coastline Charters.

Simon Sullens from San Francisco was lucky today and caught a 28 and a 30 pound King.

Epic day. Great weather, great fishing. 23 Salmon for 13 people up to 22lb and at least that many left out there with sore lips...
